Future Shorts is one of the leading and most innovative short film labels. Since 2003, Future Shorts has created a rapidly expanding network that allows filmmakers the opportunity to have their work seen on the largest theatrical platform worldwide. Passionately believing in getting short films seen and creating a culture around the medium, Future Shorts is recognised by filmmakers, the industry and press alike as the cutting-edge short film label. Future Shorts is a worldwide monthly film festival as well as a distributor, sales agent, consultancy service and DVD label.

EXHIBITION

Future Shorts Exhibition works as a worldwide short film festival providing an alternative system to the traditional film festival model. Filmmakers have the chance to get their work seen all over the world from just one submission. Films that are selected to join our monthly programme are currently being shown at 20 UK venues ­ both theatrical and non-theatrical.

The international network currently comprises of more than 65 cities and 15 countries worldwide conducting regular Future Shorts screenings. Future Shorts Exhibition aims to provide an alternative cinematic experience, where screenings are often accompanied by other multimedia elements including live music and rescores, performers and installations.

DISTRIBUTION
Future Shorts Distribution is focused on maintaining a targeted catalogue, which we use to supply a boutique programming service for broadcasters across multiple platforms around the world. We take a select approach to the distribution of short films, sourcing short films from international festivals as well as through a high quantity of direct submissions filtered by our programmers.

Future Shorts is unique in its capacity as a short film distributor: through our global exhibition network, the best short films are curated in each country by our representatives and distributed centrally from London. All the films we represent have been screened theatrically on the Future Shorts worldwide network to acclaim by our audiences.

CONSULTANCY
Future Shorts has created a much-needed link between the film industry and the short film world. Sourcing the most innovative and dynamic directors out there, Future Shorts acts as a consultant to the advertising and film business. Our experience makes it possible to bring the right directors to the right projects, to consult on film competitions to arrange the most cutting-edge parties and events. Future Shorts currently work with companies including Shots, Buena Vista, Studio Artois as well as on the Faster Films UK competition.

SPECIAL EVENTS
Future Shorts is involved in the organisation of cinematic events as a new way of exposing people to short films in different environments, combining a variety of creative ideas. Future Shorts has become a must-attend event at music festivals: Glastonbury, The Big Chill, Benicassim in Spain and Nokia Lab in Russia to name just a few.
