Future Shorts & Secret Cinema in Afghanistan

Afghanistan's highly secured capital Kabul opens up to culture by launching the first ever Secret Cinema taking place outside the UK. Running in tandem with the London show for the next five weeks, Australian-born and Secret Cinema Kabul organiser Travis Beard confirms a thirst for cultural activity under the city's war-worn facade.  Read his take on how people have responded to the exclusive invitation, published in Reuters. Founder and Creative Director of Secret Cinema & Future Shorts Fabien Riggall also spoke on BBC Film Radio 4 Film Programme about launching Secret Cinema in Kabul and the idea of making cinema attendance a collective immersive experience worldwide; available to anyone anywhere.

Kabul has also warmly embraced Future Shorts Festival, with a screening scheduled to take place tomorrow (14th of December) at the Institute Francais Afghanistan.
